Photographs and stories from everyday life

Welcome to Tom Tyrrell Photography, a photographic journal of epic proportions (hardly!). I love cameras and someday I'll figure out how to actually use them. Come explore images and read words that might inspire you but will probably just bore you to tears. I'm willing to take a chance though. I've created this webpage with fingers and toes crossed. Please don't let me down.

Photo collections - I've attempted to string together images that belong together, intentionally or unintentionally.

Photography portfolio

My portfolio. Sounds weird. Here's a collection of photos I've made.

Stories behind the photos

They say (who are they, really?) that a picture tells a thousand words. They also say there's a story behind every photo. Like a song a photo can be interpreted a thousand different ways by a thousand different people. In the case of my photos, about five different ways by five different people (you know who you are). If any of my photos tell a thousand words I'd be very surprised. I'm sure some viewers just look at them completely dumbfounded with no words available. But please, don't let this stop you from perusing the gallery.

Daily life and prose

Have a look at some of my mediocre photos and read a bit of my bland prose if you have nothing better to do. It just might be time well wasted for some of you.

Prints and licensing

Bring a photograph into your space or discuss licensing options for a project, publication, or creative use.

"What I see through the viewfinder is rarely what appears after the click, but sometimes I'm happy with it."
